Vega Customisation

Having used my Vega for a few weeks now, and due to the small screen size I have made the following changes to the display properties which has made the Vega even better to use.

The first thing I did after seeing the Zune Theme loaded to a UMPC, was install the Zune Theme, available from http://www.zune.net/en-us/meetzune/software.htm, and then changed the wallpaper to one I like better than the one supplied by the Zune Theme.

Then I made the following modifications to the Vega's display properties.
1. Go to Display Properties - Appearance - and set Font Size = Extra Large Fonts
2. Go to Display Properties - Appearance - Effects - and tick Use Large Icons

Below are some screen shots of my customised Vega.

Vega Case

My Vega case has arrived, and I am really pleased with it. The Vega like most of the UMPC's get quite hot at times, and the case now makes the unit more comfortable to hold. I also like the flip down stand on the back of the case, which when used with my mini keyboard makes the Vega perfect for typing emails and notes when in a hotel.

Vega Pivot Mode

I have just found this neat little trick for the Vega. If you want to use it in portrait mode the following key presses will do the job for you without having to go in to the display properties.

Press these two keys at the same time and press ‘control key’ you can rotate the screen by 90, 180 etc.

Welcome to My Raon Digital Vega Blog

I have only had the Vega for a few weeks, but I like it some much that I have decided to blog it here. Over the coming weeks, months and hopefully years I will post my experiences with this little gem of a device.
